A calm and mindful workout for a firm, flat core

When it comes to thinking about your core, it’s far too easy to solely focus on the aesthetics. But while flat and toned might be on the wish-list, there are so many other reasons why strengthening your core is important. It improves our posture, balance and stability, for a start – all pretty key for a healthy body and active life. And it's one of the hardest working muscles in our body, being engaged unknowingly and continually throughout the day. It kicks in when we’re lifting heavy bags, is under strain when helping children in and out of the bath, gets stretched when reaching for a jar in the cupboard… Rather than how it looks, shouldn’t we be focusing on how it performs?

By dedicating time and energy to specific exercises, your core becomes strengthened and all daily activities become easier, with less impact on your body and your mood. That's why our workout is about building core strength in a slow and mindful way. This is not about aggressively honing a six-pack for summer. This is about feeling strong and good about yourself for life. The ultimate goal, right?
